It is not all art making in Lakkos. Between guests many small and big works happen to the old houses. The front of the main house which is Ottoman had not been touched in many years. Most of the original rendering was removed and the stones exposed. Plus a pergola was built to keep the courtyard cool in summer.
Visual artists Wendy DesChene and Jeff Schmuki came to Crete to study pollinating moths and get involved with the Lakkos project. While here they painted a large mural and had a small solo exhibition.
Joshua came to Crete to research parts of its long history. While here he had a solo exhibition and left a large wall mural. Joshua is planning to return in winter to make a full show from his gathered research.
